Anthony Williams – Director & Choreographer
Anthony’s career spans many years across a very broad spectrum of Productions. Most recently he directed the critically acclaimed Cinderella at the Marina Theatre, Lowestoft for UK Productions, The King & I at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre starring Shona Lindsay & Marcus Cunningham, CHESS and Sweeney Todd at the Mechanics Theatre, the preview production of Cappuccino Girls at the Manchester Garrick Theatre and Aladdin at the Broadway Theatre, Peterborough. Anthony held the post of Associate Director to Michael Bogdanov for three years and was responsible for the Choreography in his recent Wales Theatre Company Productions. Previous credits include: The Thorn Birds, UK National Tour, Romeo and Juliet – starring Jack Ryder and Sara Lloyd Gregory (No 1 National Tour), My Fair Lady (Aberystwyth Arts Centre), The Servant of Two Masters – starring Les Dennis (National Tour), West Side Story (Aberystwyth Arts Centre), Contender – New Musical by Mal Pope (World Premiere and National Tour), A Christmas Carol – starring Ron Moody (National Tour), A Child’s Christmas in Wales (National Tour), Mal Pope’s Amazing Grace – starring Peter Karrie, Margaret Williams, Richard Munday & Shan Cothi (National Tour), Fiddler on the Roof starring Peter Karrie (Aberystwyth Arts Centre) and Oliver (Aberystwyth Arts Centre). Additionally, Anthony was choreographer for Ulrich Tukur for his cabaret tour of Hamburg & Berlin. Other recent Directorial and Choreographic credits include: Black Mountain Male Voice Choir – (USA Tour), Dance Attack – a new West End Corporate dance show, Fiddler on the Roof – (Tameside Hippodrome), Closer Than Ever – (Erin Arts Centre), Chess – (Royal Northern), Witches of Eastwick – (Gaiety Theatre), Hot Mikado – (RNCM), Copacabana – (UK No.1 Tour), David Copperfield – (UK No.1 Tour), Evita – (Gaiety Theatre), Pirates of Penzance – (UK & Irish tour), The Sorcerer – (UK & Irish tour), Jesus Christ Superstar – North Wales Theatre & BBC Wales (Royal Gala Production), Fiddler on the Roof – (Edinburgh Festival), Hay Fever – (Royal Court Theatre) and Return to the Forbidden Planet – (Gaiety Theatre). Anthony has also worked extensively with the world famous Halle Orchestra on a number of main house and community projects.
